Wachovia VP Takes New Position: John Schiappa Joins HPG Leadership Team |

announces the addition of John Schiappa to the firm’s management team.
Schiappa joins HPG after serving as vice president of business banking at Wachovia Bank, N.A. His 20-year career in finance, with 15 years in commercial lending, includes notable banking institutions USTrust/Citizens Bank and BB&T. “John’s experience managing loan portfolios for medium-to-large operating companies, including multi-state and international private and public entities, will play an important role in helping our clients meet their business goals,” says Tim Gupton, HPG partner and executive committee member. “We are excited to welcome him into the HPG family.” In addition to providing a deeper understanding of commercial lending practices, Schiappa will help secure new clients for the firm and expand HPG’s footprint across North Carolina.
